Glaciar Steffen (Full Day)
We invite you to live a unique and unforgettable experience visiting the Steffen Glacier, Belonging to the Laguna San Rafael National Park. This hangs down the southern slope of the North Ice Field and we access it by sailing from Caleta Tortel towards the canal. Steffen about 30 km, then going up the Huemules River to the CONAF refuge belonging to the Katalalixar National Reserve. Subsequently, a low intensity walk of 1 to 1.5 hours, to finally reach the lake that forms the glacier when the ice melts, where you can touch floating icebergs, see the tongue glacier, share a drink with ancient ice, recognize birds and native species, among other wonderful and unforgettable postcards. Once returning from the lake, we will share a Delicious Patagonian barbecue to end a beautiful day and return to Tortel.
